Laws & Policies
Kalpavriksh has engaged with laws and policies related to conservation and livelihoods since its formation, through:
- critiquing existing laws and policies
- spreading awareness and providing advise on laws and policies, especially amongst communities and civil society organisations
- lobbying and advocacy with government to bring in appropriate amendments, or for better implementation
- helping communities to reach their voices to policy forums
- raising fundamental issues about the role of laws and policies in moving towards a saner world
- filing petitions on relevant matters, or helping affected communities file petitions
- producing simple material accessible to the 'lay' public
