Articles for the Hindu Young World

Kalpavriksh collaborated with the Hindu Young World (a supplement for children from The Hindu newspaper), on a monthly column called Good Earth for children. This initiative triggered off in May 2003 as part of the Media Campaign of the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan, the preparation of which was being coordinated by Kalpavriksh.  After one year, when the NBSAP formally ended, the collaboration continued directly with Kalpavriksh.

The column attempts to highlight some critical environment and development as well as conservation issues (both in urban and rural areas), in simple language for children.

The coordination by Kalpavriksh is voluntary, and the payments for the articles go directly to the authors. Read the articles on the Hindu website by clicking on the links below.
