Ecosensitive Diwali 2007
Two aspects of Diwali will be addressed by the Safe Festivals campaign in the year 2007.
The first involves the No to Crackers campaign which informs people about the toxic impacts of firecrackers on personal and environmental health. This year, we are promoting the fact sheet prepared by Toxics Link, Delhi.

The second aspect involves the consumerism that is growing around the festival of Diwali. This aspect of the campaign encourages people to give away something that they dont need anymore to others who cannot afford to have a Diwali gift. This aspect promotes the concept of recycle and reuse, which is an important part of ecosensitive living.
