Checklist for Environmental Public Hearings and Public Consultation under EIA Notification 2006
The EIA notification, 2006 specifies four stages for the environment clearance of development and industrial projects listed as Category A (central level clearance) and Category B (state level clearance) in the Schedule of the EIA notification. These are: Screening, Scoping, Public Consultation and Appraisal. This checklist gives some guiding points on what people can do before, during and after a public consultation process.
